The expression patterns of selected GRAs in both RH and trx4-mutant strains examined by using IFA. Quantification of the indicated parasite strains revealed that trx4 deficiency did not affect the location of GRA1 (a and b) and GRA5 (c and d) and did not alter the translocation of GRA16 into host cell nucleus (e and f). Red, mouse anti-IMC1 or rabbit anti-IMC1; green, mouse anti-GRA1, rabbit anti-GRA5 or rabbit anti-HA. Scale bar: 3 μm. The experiments were performed three independent times.
