GenBank accession numbers of all of the sequences included in the analysis are given after the species names. The values between the branches represent percent bootstrap values per 1000 replicates. Bootstrap values below 50% are not shown. The five sequences of Sarcocystis attenuati (GenBank MZ826981–MZ826985, shown in bold) group within the Sarcocystidae and form a clade with other Sarcocystis spp. with snakes as their definitive hosts
