INOS expression in the splenocytes of C57BL/6 J mice after C. sinensis infection. The TLR2 wild-type (a) and TLR2 mutant (b) mice were inoculated with 60 C. sinensis metacercariae. The serial slices of the spleens were incubated with iNOS mAb, HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies, and SABC by sequence, and then processed with AEC color development reagent to show the iNOS expression in the cytoplasm with red color. Finally, the slices were counterstained with hematoxylin to display the splenocyte nuclei with blue. The figure shows one representative biopsy out of six.
