One Health concept for detecting of Bartonella infections in humans and domestic animals. Fleas transmit B. henselae to cats. Transmission of B. henselae by ticks, e.g. Ixodes ricinus a to cats b or humans c is assumed but controversially discussed. Bartonella DNA can be detected in ticks via real-time PCR or conventional PCR d. Finally, B. henselae infections of cats and humans can be diagnosed by indirect immunofluorescence analysis (anti-B. henselae-IgG: green, e, f)
