Respondents’ perception on causes of hydrocoele. Almost half of respondents had no idea on what causes hydrocele. About 10 % attributed lifting heavy objects (without wearing the right clothing) as the cause of hydrocoele. Perhaps those with this information think hernia is synonymous with hydrocoele. However, less than 2 % mentioned mosquito bite as one of the ways hydrocoele could spread. Multiple answers were allowed
