The table shows the polymorphic sites and the amino acid substitutions, after alignment of predicted peptide sequences. Amino acid polymorphic positions within the active site region are in italics. The least frequent substitution in each column is in bold. Common physico-chemical characteristics of amino acids found at each polymorphic site are depicted in the last row: p: polar; a: aliphatic; h: hydrophobic; s: small or tiny; n: negatively charged. Single-letter amino acids code was used.
