The mean worm/liver egg burdens were calculated using results from sixteen mice from two independent experiments (n = 8). Percent protection in the two independent experiments was calculated by comparing their results with the results obtained from the 18K-PDDV and PBS groups. Results are expressed as means ± standard errors. *P < 0.05; **P < 0.01, compared to the worm/liver egg burdens of the 18K-PDDV and PBS vaccination groups.
